PADI ReActivate - Scuba Refresher

Your PADI certification does not expire, but if you haven't dived for 12 months or longer, you probably should refresh your skills and diving knowledge.

To refresh, you can

  • review and practice basic diving skills in the swimming pool

  • refresh your theory and knowledge by using PADI ReActivate Online/Touch program

You can do one or both of the above depending on how much refreshing you might need.

PADI divers who complete both the knowledge and in-water skills review receive a replacement certification card with a ReActivated date on it. You can choose which PADI certification level card you want to replace as long as it is a diving certification.

A special PADI ReActivate card will be available for non-PADI divers taking the program. The card is not a certification card, but still acknowledges that the diver refreshed basic knowledge and skills.

PADI ReActivate

PADI ReActivate is a personalized refresher program for you: you review scuba concepts on your tablet, mobile device or computer, then refresh your in-water dive skills with a PADI Professional in a swimming pool with a focus on good buoyancy control and emergency procedures. It all comes back quickly and prepares you to get ready for a diving vacation or for your next PADI course.

How long does it take?

The swimming pool session takes about 2-3 hours, and can be done after work hours. How quickly you go through the interactive theory part on your mobile phone or computer depends on you and how much revising you need: you proceed at your own pace.

Where?

The pool session we usually run at Chi Fu Fa Yuen swimming pool. It is a heated indoor swimming pool and available year round. The pool is located in Pok Fu Lam on Hong Kong island. Click here for the Chi Fu pool location on Google Maps.
