Sai Kung - View towards Sharp Island

Typhoon 3 or above, Red and Black rainstorm warnings cancel open water diving.

 

Please note that rain as such, or thunderstorms do not cancel any diving. With rain, we just get wet... Thunderstorms may cause temporary suspension to diving activities in open water settings, but diving continues as soon as the thunderstorm has passed.

Adverse Weather Policy for Hong Kong scuba diving. Thunderstorm warning: all sessions proceed as normal. Diving acticities may be temporarily suspended at the dive site. T1: all sessions proceed as normal. T3: open water diving cancelled. T8: all sessions cancelled. Amber rainstorm warning: all sessions proceed as normal. Red rainstorm warning: classroom sessions proceed as normal, pool sessions proceed as normal unless rain is expected to worsen, open water dives cancelled if the warnings is in force two hours before boat departure. Black rainstorm warning: all sessions cancelled.
